Meanwhile, Israel has also signalled escalation along its northern border. Defence Minister Israel Katz said that he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have directed the military to intensify operations in Lebanese border villages. The orders include demolishing structures and destroying key bridges over the Litani river, citing security concerns. With multiple fronts heating up, analysts warn the Hormuz dispute could rapidly spiral into a wider regional conflict.
