India-Israel Relations: Israel Hails India as Rising Superpower Built on Human Talent

Eden Bar Tal praises India’s human resource-driven growth; calls for deeper people-to-people, government, and business ties to shape a stable global future

Tel Aviv, September 8: In a strong endorsement of India’s growing global stature, Eden Bar Tal, Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hailed India as a “coming power” and an “excellent example” of a nation that has risen not through natural resources but through the strength of its human capital.

Speaking on the future of bilateral relations, Bar Tal emphasised that Israel views India as a natural partner and a force for global stability at a time when many seek to profit from destabilisation.

“India is a coming power with immense talent and human resources. We in Israel believe more in human resources than natural resources. When you let the population flourish, they build the country and let it flourish. India is an excellent example of it,” Bar Tal said, noting that Tel Aviv will continue to invest in strengthening ties with New Delhi across government, business, and cultural platforms.

Building Beyond Business

Bar Tal underlined that India-Israel cooperation is not limited to trade and defense but extends into a shared philosophy. “We will invest a lot of our intention in establishing stronger relationships with the Indian people, the Indian government, and business-to-business exchanges. But it goes beyond business, because we believe in the philosophy of the Indian people and know it can be a source of stability against those who want to destabilise the world,” he said.

Shared Vision for Stability and Progress

The Israeli diplomat also noted that India and Israel share common perspectives on both opportunities and threats. “We can see the common theme among radicals and the fact that they express themselves through violence. Through the very close cooperation that we have established with India, and the high respect we share historically, together we can show the world how different societies can have so much in common and can collaborate for a better future,” he added.

Technology Partnership Expands

His remarks come shortly after Israeli Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, highlighted the transfer of Israel’s cutting-edge water technologies to India. He spoke about Israel’s success in wastewater management, irrigation, purification, and desalination, which has not only fulfilled its domestic needs but also helped neighbouring countries. These solutions are being actively shared with India to address its growing water management challenges.

The Road Ahead

As India cements its role as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies and a geopolitical influencer, Israel sees immense potential in aligning its innovation-driven model with India’s human resource strengths. The partnership, as both nations project, is not just about strategic cooperation but about building a shared philosophy of stability, progress, and resilience in a turbulent global order.
