Washington DC: In a firm stance on immigration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India is fully prepared to bring back any of its citizens residing illegally in the United States, while also calling for global action against human trafficking.

PM Modi’s remarks came during a joint press conference with US President Donald Trump, just days after the deportation of 104 Indian migrants from the US, who were returned to India on a military aircraft with their hands and legs shackled—a move that sparked widespread criticism.

“Illegal Entry Has No Justification”: PM Modi

In response to a journalist’s query, PM Modi emphasized that illegal immigration is unacceptable worldwide.

“Anyone who enters a country illegally has no right to live there. The youth and poor people of India are often deceived into illegal immigration through false promises and big dreams. Many don’t even realize they are part of a human trafficking network,” he said.

PM Modi urged for joint Indo-US action to dismantle trafficking networks, adding,

“Our fight is against this entire ecosystem, and I am confident that President Trump will fully cooperate in ending this crisis.”


Trump Confirms Extradition Of 26/11 Terror Accused Tahawwur Rana

Amid discussions on immigration, President Trump also announced the extradition of 2008 Mumbai terror attack accused Tahawwur Rana, calling him “one of the most evil people in the world.”

PM Modi expressed gratitude for the US’s decision, stating,

“India and the US have stood together against terrorism. We must take strong action against those who operate from across the border. I thank President Trump for his decision to extradite the 26/11 mastermind, who will now face trial in India.”


Major Trade, Energy, And Infrastructure Agreements Signed

In addition to discussions on immigration and security, both leaders also announced key agreements on energy trade and infrastructure development:

Energy Partnership:
Trump revealed a deal making the US India’s leading supplier of oil and natural gas, adding,

“India is reforming laws to welcome US nuclear technology, which will now have a significant presence in the Indian market.”

Historic Trade Route Initiative:
The leaders also unveiled plans for one of the largest trade routes in history, which will link:
🇮🇳 India → 🇮🇱 Israel → 🇮🇹 Italy → 🇺🇸 United States
This ambitious corridor will enhance global trade connectivity through roads, railways, and undersea cables.
