Iran Fires Missiles As War Escalates
Sirens in Tel Aviv, Saudi warning and US arms deal with Israel signal widening conflict
March 7, 2026: The escalating conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States has entered a new and dangerous phase. Reports say Iran launched at least five ballistic missiles toward Israel since midnight. Following the strikes, emergency sirens were heard across Tel Aviv and central Israel, forcing residents to rush into underground bunkers and designated safety shelters.
Tensions have also spread across the Gulf region. Saudi Arabia issued a strong warning to Iran after alleged attacks near US diplomatic facilities and oil infrastructure within Saudi territory. Saudi officials said the country’s security should not be underestimated and warned that it would respond firmly to any threats.
Meanwhile, the United States approved a major weapons deal with Israel, authorising the sale of around 12,000 aerial bombs, including BLU-110 bomb, worth approximately $151.8 million. The conflict has also caused casualties in neighbouring countries, with reports of deaths and injuries in Iraq and heavy losses in Lebanon, highlighting the widening regional impact of the war.
