Attacks hit Tel Aviv as drone strikes and military operations spread across the Gulf region
March 6, 2026: The conflict between Iran and Israel has intensified with fresh missile and drone attacks reported across several parts of the Middle East. Iran allegedly launched multiple overnight missile strikes targeting Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv. Some of the attacks reportedly involved the Kheibar Shekan ballistic missile, which carries cluster munitions capable of causing extensive damage across wide areas.
Despite Israel’s advanced air defence network, including the Iron Dome air defense system, several projectiles were reportedly able to penetrate defences and strike parts of Tel Aviv, causing damage and triggering panic among residents. In response, Israeli forces, supported by the United States, are conducting coordinated strikes on Iranian military facilities aimed at weakening Tehran’s missile infrastructure and targeting leadership elements within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The confrontation is also spreading across the Gulf region. Reports suggest Iran has carried out drone attacks in Bahrain, targeting locations including the airport, hotels, and the Israeli embassy. Additional strikes have reportedly targeted US military bases in Kuwait and nearby Gulf states, while Israeli forces continue operations against Hezbollah positions in Lebanon, raising fears that the conflict could escalate into a broader regional war.
