Drone and missile attacks hit Kuwait airport, Israel faces interceptor shortage

March 15, 2026: The conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States continued to escalate as fresh drone and missile attacks were reported across the Gulf region. A major drone strike reportedly targeted the radar system at Kuwait International Airport, causing severe damage, according to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation Kuwait. The development comes amid growing instability in the region as military exchanges intensify.

Reports also suggested that Israel is facing a shortage of interceptor missiles used to counter Iranian ballistic attacks. Iranian forces reportedly launched fresh missile strikes toward Israeli positions, including areas around Ben Gurion Airport. Explosions and air raid sirens were reported near the airport, while fires broke out in parts of the West Bank near Ramallah after missile impacts damaged residential areas. The attacks are believed to be part of Iran’s 50th wave of drone and missile strikes.

Meanwhile, Iranian strikes were also reported near Erbil in Iraq, where an oil refinery caught fire after being hit. Earlier, a drone strike in Baghdad allegedly damaged a power station. The financial burden of the conflict is also mounting, with reports suggesting Washington is spending nearly ₹1,800 crore per day on military operations, while the high cost of interceptor missiles makes the prolonged confrontation increasingly expensive.
