Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar extend solidarity with India after the deadly attack on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly condemned the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed innocent lives and left many injured. Expressing grief and solidarity, Netanyahu extended full support to India in its ongoing fight against terrorism.
In a post shared by the Prime Minister’s Office of Israel on X, Netanyahu said:
“My dear friend @narendramodi, I am deeply saddened by the barbaric terrorist attack in #Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, that killed and injured dozens of innocents. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims & their families. Israel stands with India in its fight against terrorism.”

Joining Netanyahu, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar also condemned the attack, calling it “heinous” and pledged Israel’s unwavering support for India.
“Deeply saddened by the heinous terror attack on tourists in #Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. Israel stands united with India in the fight against terror,” Sa’ar posted on X.
🕯️ India Responds with National Outrage and Security Measures
The terror strike in Pahalgam on April 22, which targeted tourists and locals, has triggered widespread condemnation and public mourning across India. Following the incident, Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level security meeting in Srinagar and briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, LG Manoj Sinha, senior police officials, and military commanders also participated in the review of security preparedness. Meanwhile, the Indian Army and J&K Police have launched a joint search operation in the Baisran area of Pahalgam to apprehend the attackers.
According to the Chinar Corps,
“Medical teams were swiftly mobilised, and casualty evacuation commenced. A Joint Search Operation is in progress, focused on bringing the attackers to justice.”
🔥 Public Outcry and Candlelight Vigils
The attack has sparked nationwide outrage, with candle marches held in Sopore, Bandipora, Handwara, and Ganderbal, as locals condemned the cowardly act and expressed unity against terrorism.
“In response to this senseless violence and the anguish caused to local sentiments, the local populace organized candle marches in multiple districts,” said a statement from the Indian Army.
The international community’s support, including Israel’s strong condemnation, underlines India’s global standing in the fight against terrorism. With mounting calls for justice, Indian authorities continue intensified operations to bring those responsible to book.
