On her Not Gonna Lie podcast, Kylie Kelce shares unconventional Father’s Day gifts for husband Jason Kelce—including ones secretly for herself
Kylie Kelce is flipping the Father’s Day script—with gifts for Dad that are really for Mom. On the June 12 episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie, the wife of retired NFL star Jason Kelce shared her unconventional, and often hilarious, ideas for Father’s Day presents—ranging from fashionable upgrades to time away with the kids.
Kylie, 32, and mom to four young children—Wyatt (5), Elliotte (4), Bennett (2), and newborn Finnley (2 months)—spoke candidly about gift ideas that serve double duty. “Does your husband also wear T-shirts, shorts and flip-flops nearly 100% of the places you go?” she asked listeners. “I’m actually okay with it. But if anyone wants their partner to start jazzing it up a little bit, buy him a nice new outfit. Even better, tell him the kids picked it out. It’ll work. I promise.”
“Four Kids Is Enough”: From Banana Hammocks to Dad-Kid Outings
With a signature mix of sass and sincerity, Kylie joked that if she were picking out clothes for Jason, “I’d probably buy him a banana hammock,” referencing the spandex thong popularized by Borat. She immediately added, “Just kidding. Four kids is enough.”
The self-deprecating humor continued as she listed more “Dad gifts” that were really about getting Mom a breather. One suggestion: a special dad-and-kids outing. “If it’s not already clear, Mom would stay home for all these activities. Have fun, Mom,” she laughed.
Another sly idea: gadgets Mom wants, but that Dad might occasionally use. “Literally any new gadget you’ve been eyeing for yourself,” she quipped. For Jason, that would be new AirPods—not for him, but because “every single time that man loses his AirPods, somehow, mine end up his.”
Real Plans: A Dinner Date and Family First
When it comes to actual Father’s Day plans, Kylie is aiming for a cozy night out. “I did in fact make a reservation for Father’s Day at a restaurant that I do indeed love,” she admitted with a grin. “The key is that Jason also loves it, so that’s a win-win right there.”
Though the couple isn’t currently in a place to take a full child-free getaway, Kylie reminisced about the short trips they took last summer: “We are not in the phase of life where we are able to do that at this very moment. But last summer, we had a couple of child-free trips that were lovely.”
Life After the NFL
Since retiring from the Philadelphia Eagles, Jason Kelce has embraced a slower pace, taking on his first post-retirement role as an ESPN broadcaster. In May, he told PEOPLE that he’s grateful for more time with the family: “I mean, the biggest thing you enjoy is being around the family more… Now that it’s the off-season, you get time to be around the family more.”
With Kylie’s wit and Jason’s laid-back dad energy, it’s clear the Kelces are embracing life’s next chapter—with a lot of love, a little chaos, and maybe, just maybe, a banana hammock.
