Despite the warm exchange, Trump has maintained reservations about Machado’s leadership credentials, reiterating that she lacks the broader support needed to lead Venezuela. He has previously indicated a preference for engaging with interim President Delcy Rodríguez on key issues, including economic and strategic interests.
