Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk Appear In Epstein Files Photo From Dinner Gathering

A newly released tranche of Jeffrey Epstein files has surfaced in early February 2026, containing over 3 million pages of documents, photos, and emails released by the U.S. Department of Justice. Among the most discussed revelations is a photograph and email correspondence linking tech giants Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg to a 2015 dinner with the disgraced financier.

The release follows the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law in late 2025, which mandated the public disclosure of investigative records.

The “Wild” 2015 Dinner

The files include a photograph taken on August 2, 2015, at a dinner in Los Angeles.

  • The Attendees: The photo and accompanying emails identify Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and venture capitalist Peter Thiel as guests at the long dinner table.
  • Epstein’s Description: In an email to billionaire Tom Pritzker, Epstein described the gathering as a “wild” dinner.
  • Location: The dinner reportedly took place in Los Angeles or Palo Alto (sources vary on the exact venue). Epstein had even framed a copy of this photo for display in his Manhattan apartment.

Elon Musk’s Correspondence

While Musk has previously maintained that Epstein “hounded” him but was always rebuffed, the new files suggest more frequent communication than previously acknowledged.

  • The “Wildest Party” Inquiry: A November 2012 email shows Musk asking Epstein: “What day/night will be the wildest party on =our (sic) island? Probably just Talulah [Riley] and me.”
  • Island Visits: The records indicate that Musk and Epstein made plans for a visit to the private island in both 2012 and 2013, though Musk maintains these trips did not occur due to logistical issues.
  • Musk’s Response (2026): On his platform X, Musk reiterated that he had “very little correspondence” with Epstein and never visited the island.

Wider Context of the 2026 Release

The “Data Sets 9–12” released by the DOJ have reignited scrutiny into several global figures.

  • Peter Thiel: Emails reveal that an investment firm co-founded by Thiel accepted $40 million from Epstein. Thiel and Epstein reportedly corresponded for five years on topics ranging from taxes to financial advice.
  • Donald Trump: The files contain a summary of over a dozen tips received by the FBI regarding Trump. The DOJ and the White House have dismissed these as “unfounded, false, and sensationalist” claims submitted without corroborating evidence.
  • Former Prince Andrew: The tranche includes undated photos of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew) in suggestive positions with unidentified individuals, though the context remains redacted.
