Iran rejects Trump’s claim conflict may end soon as strikes intensify
March 10, 2026: The escalating conflict in the Middle East has entered its eleventh day, with tensions intensifying between Iran, Israel and the United States. US President Donald Trump claimed the war could end soon, saying several key Iranian military capabilities had already been weakened. However, Iran’s powerful military wing, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps rejected the claim, stating that Tehran—not Washington—would determine when the conflict ends.
Reports indicate that recent strikes hit residential areas in Tehran, leaving at least 40 people dead. In response, Iran reportedly launched several Kheibar Shekan missile attacks toward Israeli targets and deployed hybrid drones capable of operating on both fuel and battery power. Israel later responded by targeting Iranian drone command facilities as the exchange of strikes continued.
Regional tensions have further widened with reports that the Iran-backed group Hezbollah launched attacks toward Tel Aviv. The escalating conflict has also unsettled global energy markets, with oil prices fluctuating amid concerns over potential disruptions to key energy routes in the region.
