Trump demands Iran’s surrender as strikes and regional attacks intensify
March 7, 2026: The escalating conflict in the Middle East has entered its eighth day, with tensions rising sharply between Iran, the United States and Israel. In a major development, US President Donald Trump reportedly issued an ultimatum demanding Iran’s unconditional surrender to end the conflict. Reports also suggest that preparations for a possible ground operation in Iran are underway, while some American lawmakers have claimed that Russia is assisting Iran by providing intelligence support.
Fighting has intensified across several parts of the region. In Lebanon, heavy airstrikes have reportedly killed more than 200 people, while a drone attack targeted a foreign oil company office in Erbil in Iraq. Iran has also claimed that it launched an attack on the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and released video footage of the strike. Meanwhile, heavy bombardment has been reported in Lebanese residential areas, and Iran allegedly targeted the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.
Another major explosion was reported at Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran, causing large fires and significant damage. The United States has also claimed that during Operation Epic Fury, more than 3,000 targets and 43 Iranian warships were destroyed within the first 168 hours of the operation. The escalating strikes and counter-attacks have raised fears that the conflict could expand further across the region.
