Creator of “Plastoline,” a Revolutionary Waste-to-Fuel Technology, Disappears for Two Weeks Following Warnings of Being “Under Attack”
Atlanta, GA, US – July 28, 2025 – Julian Brown, a young and innovative inventor from metro Atlanta, who garnered significant attention for his groundbreaking technology that converts plastic waste into usable fuel, has reportedly been missing for two weeks. While no major news outlets have yet officially reported or confirmed his disappearance, an outpouring of concern has erupted across social media platforms, fueled by unsettling posts Brown made prior to his vanishing.
Julian Brown, in his early twenties, recently went viral for his invention, dubbed “Plastoline.” This innovative machine is designed to transform discarded plastics into various valuable fuels, including gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. His work has positioned him as a prominent figure in the environmental solutions space, advocating for a shift in how the world views plastic waste – not as trash, but as “untapped energy.”
The alarm among netizens was triggered by a series of concerning social media posts from Brown, leading many to speculate that his disappearance might be connected to his potentially disruptive invention. His final public post, a cryptic message, read: “Something is happening keep me in your prayers please SCREEN RECORD THIS. I don’t know e.” This post, shared on July 9, along with earlier statements suggesting he was “certainly under attack” and experiencing “very, very odd stuff,” has amplified fears for his safety. Some online users have even tagged FBI leadership, urging them to investigate.
Who is Julian Brown?

Julian Brown, an entrepreneur born in Tennessee, is a 776 Foundation Climate Fellow and the founder of NatureJab, a company dedicated to environmental innovation. He also operates Jabaroma, a natural body products brand.
Brown’s core innovation, Plastoline, centers on microwave pyrolysis, a process he describes as transforming plastic waste into fuel. His journey into this field began during his teenage years, driven by deep concerns for environmental problems. He spent years experimenting and perfecting his process, even learning welding at 17 to build his reactors. In a March 2025 interview with Bold Journey, Brown detailed his dedication: “I have dedicated the last 5 years of my life, starting in high school to this journey. My only background is in welding… I begun this journey because I saw a huge lack in the industry of all things recycling.”
He passionately articulated his vision in an interview with The Root, stating, “The very issue we have is the production of plastic. The reason why recycling hasn’t been done is because it hasn’t been profitable. But now, we are able to make a product of super high value out of something that otherwise is just seen as waste.”
Brown, who boasts a significant following of 1.7 million on Instagram (@naturejab_), had launched a GoFundMe campaign with a $1 million goal to scale his vision, intending to use the funds for a warehouse rental and the construction of a full-scale prototype. So far, the fundraiser has gathered over $18,000.
Earlier this year, in May, Brown traveled to Vancouver, Washington, to have his recycled diesel tested by ASAP Labs, a reputable fuel testing facility. Despite initial skepticism from some critics who slammed his alternative energy as “horrible fuel” that could “destroy engines,” Brown’s samples passed with flying colors. In fact, the lab results reportedly showed “more favorable results than its industry competitors,” with an ASAP Labs employee confirming, “It looks like it definitely burned cleaner… It appears that this diesel probably burns cleaner than typical diesel.” The lab technician, initially skeptical, conceded that “the results don’t lie.”
Brown has often shared his profound belief in his mission to tackle global plastic waste. He recalled telling his mother at the age of five that he would “create something that would change the world.” He famously stated that as long as he is around, “there will be no such thing as plastic waste — only untapped energy.” His disappearance, especially after his unsettling messages, has left his followers deeply worried about his well-being and the circumstances surrounding his absence.
