At the World Health Organization assembly in Geneva, diplomat Anupama Singh strongly criticized Pakistan’s terror links and defended India’s Operation Sindoor.

Geneva, May 22, 2025 – In a scathing diplomatic response, Indian Foreign Service officer Anupama Singh called out Pakistan’s role in fostering terrorism during her address at the World Health Organization (WHO) headquarters in Geneva. Exercising India’s right of reply, Singh asserted, “A state that breeds terrorism cannot masquerade as its victim.”

Singh’s sharp remarks came in the wake of Pakistan’s repeated attempts to raise political matters in international forums. In her reply, she reminded global delegates of Pakistan’s well-documented record of harbouring terror networks.

“Let us not forget the sponsors and organisers of terrorism operate from Pakistani soil,” Singh said. “In response, India launched Operation Sindoor — precise, proportionate and focused on the infrastructure of terror inside Pakistan.”

Singh emphasized that India’s counter-offensive was strictly aimed at terror hideouts and not civilians:

“We took measures to ensure their civilians are neither targeted nor harmed. Rather, only the Pakistan-trained terrorists and their well-known hideouts were struck.”

She also accused Pakistan of spreading disinformation about the Indus Waters Treaty, saying the country was “trying to obfuscate the issue through false narratives.”
