PrizePicks Expands US Footprint, Securing Licenses In Puerto Rico And Maine

Atlanta, GA | July 30, 2025: PrizePicks, a leading daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator, has announced a significant expansion of its operations, securing gaming licenses in both Puerto Rico and Maine. The company is already live with its “Arena” game in Maine and anticipates launching in Puerto Rico in the coming months, which will become its 47th US jurisdiction. PrizePicks proudly states it is the first daily fantasy sports operator to obtain a license on the island.

Adam Packer, Senior Vice President of Legal and Compliance at PrizePicks, expressed gratitude for the regulatory bodies’ cooperation. “We’re grateful to the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission and the Maine Gambling Control Unit for their partnership and support throughout the licensure process,” said Packer. “We’ve seen tremendous engagement with Arena across the country, and we’re confident that momentum will carry into these new jurisdictions.”

PrizePicks’ “Arena” is described as a real-money, peer-to-peer fantasy sports game where users can predict “More or Less” on player statistical projections across various sports. The game places users into groups based on lineup type and skill level, with winnings awarded for successful lineups or for having the best lineup within a group.

This expansion solidifies PrizePicks’ growing presence in the US market. The company has also been actively forging partnerships within professional sports, including a multi-year deal to become the Official Daily Fantasy Sports Partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and a separate partnership with the Houston Astros.

In a demonstration of its commitment to responsible gaming, PrizePicks recently received Internet Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP) accreditation from the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). This makes PrizePicks the first and only fantasy sports operator to earn this certification for its responsible gaming practices and efforts.

PrizePicks continues to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape of daily fantasy sports, with these new licenses marking a strategic step in its nationwide expansion.
