June 20, 2025 | A Ryanair flight traveling from London Stansted to Kalamata International Airport in Greece ended in a mishap on Wednesday afternoon, when the aircraft collided with a perimeter fence shortly after landing.

The incident occurred as Flight FR6080, a Boeing 737, was taxiing to its designated stand post-landing. According to an official statement from Ryanair, the aircraft’s wing tip struck a fence, but all passengers disembarked safely, and no injuries were reported.

“This flight from London Stansted to Kalamata (18 June) was taxiing to stand when the wing tip came in contact with a fence,” said a Ryanair spokesperson. “The aircraft subsequently continued to stand, and passengers disembarked normally.”


✈️ Turbulence and Loud Bang Alarm Passengers

Passengers on board described the flight as bumpy, with one traveler telling The Sun that the journey was plagued by “severe turbulence”. Upon landing, many reportedly heard a “loud banging sound” inside the cabin, sparking momentary panic before the crew confirmed safe arrival.

Images from the tarmac showed the damaged wing visibly misaligned from its normal position. Emergency services arrived at the scene promptly, but their intervention was precautionary as no injuries or fire hazards were detected.

This incident adds to a growing list of runway-related mishaps in 2025. Just last week, a JetBlue Airbus A220 veered off the runway during landing at Boston Logan International Airport, prompting emergency evacuations.
