US Allows India To Buy Russian Oil For 30 Days
Decision comes amid Iran–Israel war as missile strikes hit Tel Aviv and regional tensions grow
March 6, 2026: Amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East, a major geopolitical development has emerged involving India, the United States, and Russia. Washington has reportedly allowed Indian companies to continue purchasing Russian oil for the next 30 days, offering temporary relief as global energy markets face uncertainty due to the ongoing war involving Iran and Israel. Analysts say the move could help stabilise India’s energy supply at a time when fears of disruptions across key shipping routes are rising.
Meanwhile, the conflict continues to intensify. Iran reportedly launched overnight missile strikes targeting Tel Aviv, triggering explosions and damage after some projectiles reportedly penetrated Israel’s air defence system, including the widely known Iron Dome. Air-raid sirens echoed across the city as residents rushed to shelters during the attacks.
In another escalation, Iranian forces reportedly targeted a US military installation in Kuwait, indicating that the conflict may be expanding beyond Israel and Iran. Military analysts warn that with attacks spreading across the Gulf region, the risk of a broader regional war is increasing, raising concerns over global security as well as the stability of international energy markets.
