American forces destroy Iranian vessels in Strait of Hormuz as missile strikes intensify
March 11, 2026: The conflict between the United States and Iran entered its 12th day with fresh military action in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes. According to reports, US forces destroyed at least 16 Iranian vessels suspected of laying naval mines in the strait. Earlier, US President Donald Trump had warned Tehran against mining the waterway, saying such a move would trigger severe consequences.
The US military claimed that several Iranian naval assets, including smaller boats stationed nearby, were destroyed during the operation. At the same time, American forces reportedly intensified strikes against Iranian military infrastructure and naval capabilities. Reports suggested that multiple Iranian warships and possibly a submarine were targeted in the bombardment.
Meanwhile, Iran continued its retaliation through missile attacks across the region. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps released a video showing strikes aimed at American bases in the Gulf and targets in Israel. With both sides escalating attacks, tensions across the Middle East are rapidly rising, raising fears that the confrontation could expand further in the coming days.
