Reacting to Indian Batsman & wicket-keeper Wriddhman Saha’s post, Virendra Sehwag tweeted: Extremely sad. Such sense of entitlement, neither is he respected nor a journalist, just chamchagiri. With you Wriddhi.
Earlier, a rather disturbed Indian cricketer and wicket keeper Wriddhiman Saha posted a whatsapp chat on his twitter account. After being dropped from the India-Sri Lanka Series, he was hounded by a journalist who tried to coerce him into an interview and threatened him after Saha did not reply to his call.
“After all of my contributions to Indian cricket..this is what I face from a so called “Respected” journalist! This is where the journalism has gone,” Saha wrote as he shared the screenshot.
Wriddhiman Saha on Saturday was dropped from the India squad for the two-Test home series against Sri Lanka that starts from March 4. He also said that team management headed by head coach Rahul Dravid had told him to think about “retirement” as he won’t be considered for selection going forward.
The Indian squad for Lanka series was announced yesterday. Amongst many changes, Wriddhiman Saha was dropped.
On being asked for reasons behind the exclusion, Chetan Anand, chief selector said, “Look, age isn’t something we give a lot of credence. On what grounds Wriddhi has been dropped, we can’t tell you,”.
