Vikrant Massey Wins Performance In A Leading Role, Male At IIFA 2025 For ‘Sector 36’

March 9, 2025: The 25th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) turned into a night of celebration as Vikrant Massey clinched the award for Performance in a Leading Role, Male (Film) for his powerful portrayal in Sector 36.

Massey, who was visibly elated to be at the prestigious event, expressed his delight at returning to Rajasthan for the grand occasion. “This time I have come back home. And I am very happy to be in Jaipur, Rajasthan,” he shared with enthusiasm.

Before winning the award, Massey had shared his thoughts with the media, downplaying any nerves about the nominations. “No, not at all. I think it is a big thing to get a nomination. We have to celebrate that. It is fortunate that my friends have also been nominated along with me. I have some directors, writers, and producers. Whether we win or not, we have to celebrate that,” he said, reflecting his grounded and humble approach to his success.

When asked about a dream performance at IIFA, Vikrant spoke fondly of his admiration for renowned choreographer Shiamak Davar, calling him his “guru.” “I would like to perform with Shiamak Davar. He is my guru,” Vikrant said, indicating his respect for the legendary choreographer.

The IIFA 2025 festivities in Jaipur continued to dazzle with its star-studded performances and emotional tributes. The grand IIFA Awards Night, scheduled for March 9, will also feature a special celebration of the iconic film Sholay on its 50th anniversary, with an exclusive screening at the famous Raj Mandir Cinema.

This year’s IIFA Awards are hosted by Kartik Aaryan, and audiences are also set to enjoy Kareena Kapoor Khan’s special performance, where she will pay tribute to her grandfather, the legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor.

As the evening unfolded, the IIFA Awards proved to be a remarkable celebration of Indian cinema and talent, with Vikrant Massey’s win marking a high point in the event’s spectacular journey.
