Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) and IHG Hotels & Resorts have entered into a major partnership to develop five hotels across key airport-linked and fast-growing urban destinations in India.

The agreement will add nearly 1,500 hotel rooms across multiple hospitality brands and marks the entry of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants into the Indian market for the first time.

The upcoming properties will be developed across Jaipur, Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region as part of Adani’s airport city and mixed-use infrastructure projects.

The portfolio will include a Kimpton luxury lifestyle hotel in Jaipur along with Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties planned near airports and commercial hubs in Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram.

The partnership comes amid rapid growth in India’s aviation and tourism sectors, where airport-led developments are increasingly becoming major commercial and hospitality centres driven by rising passenger traffic, domestic tourism, and business travel demand.

Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises Limited, said the company aims to build world-class destinations integrating travel, hospitality, retail, and urban infrastructure around India’s expanding aviation ecosystem.

AAHL currently operates India’s largest private airport network and is developing airport city projects spanning nearly 663 acres across multiple cities. The company is positioning airports as integrated urban hubs combining aviation, hospitality, retail, and commercial infrastructure.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director for South West Asia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the collaboration reflects the growing opportunity in India’s hospitality sector, especially in airport-linked developments witnessing strong demand from business, leisure, and transit travellers.

The deal also represents a significant milestone for IHG as it launches the Kimpton brand in India’s premium lifestyle hospitality segment.

IHG Hotels & Resorts currently operates 52 hotels across six brands in India and has plans to open 98 additional hotels over the next three to five years.
