May 22, 2025: The Indian Railways has officially launched SwaRail, a next-generation mobile application that consolidates all passenger-facing railway services into a single, easy-to-use platform. Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) under the Ministry of Railways, the app aims to transform train travel through seamless digital integration.

Launched in early 2025, SwaRail was initially available in beta for select Android and iOS users, but early access is currently full. The app is expected to open up to more users soon.
