Fuel prices across India remained unchanged on June 21, 2026, with Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) and city gas distributors maintaining existing rates for petrol, diesel, and CNG.
The stability in fuel prices comes after earlier hikes triggered by elevated crude oil prices during the West Asia conflict. Petrol and diesel prices have already increased by nearly ₹7.50 per litre in recent weeks.
Global crude oil prices continued to hover near $80 per barrel despite easing geopolitical tensions after reports that the United States and Iran digitally signed an interim peace agreement, helping stabilize energy markets.
Meanwhile, the government recently revised export duties on petroleum products. Diesel export duty has been increased from ₹13.50 to ₹14 per litre, while the levy on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) exports has been raised from ₹9.50 to ₹12.50 per litre. The export duty on petrol remains unchanged at ₹1.50 per litre.
Domestic LPG prices were also revised earlier this month, with a standard 14.2 kg cylinder in Delhi now costing ₹942, up from ₹913. Commercial LPG cylinder rates were increased by ₹42, taking the price of a 19 kg cylinder in Delhi to ₹3,113.50.
Among major cities, Hyderabad continues to record the highest petrol price at ₹115.69 per litre, followed closely by Thiruvananthapuram at ₹115.49 per litre. Chandigarh remains the cheapest city for petrol at ₹98.10 per litre.
For diesel, Thiruvananthapuram tops the list at ₹104.40 per litre, while Chandigarh offers the lowest diesel price at ₹86.09 per litre.
