Whoop has announced a major expansion of its health and fitness platform, introducing several new AI-powered features aimed at delivering more personalised wellness insights to users.

The most notable addition is a new in-app video consultation tool that will allow subscribers to connect directly with licensed health professionals. The feature is expected to roll out in the coming months, although it will initially be limited to users in the United States.

The wearable fitness company also unveiled Electronic Health Record (EHR) syncing support, alongside two new artificial intelligence features called My Memory and Proactive Check-ins.

Whoop To Offer In-App Video Consultations With Clinicians

Starting this summer, US-based Whoop subscribers will be able to access on-demand video consultations with licensed clinicians directly within the app.

According to the company, the consultation system will use months of user health data collected through the wearable device, along with blood reports and medical history where available, to provide more informed guidance and personalised health recommendations.

Whoop said the goal is to create a more comprehensive health ecosystem rather than simply offering activity tracking and fitness analytics.

At present, there is no official confirmation regarding when or if the feature will expand to international markets, including India.

Health Record Syncing To Add Medical Context

To strengthen its healthcare integration, Whoop has partnered with HealthEx to introduce secure Electronic Health Record syncing.

The feature will allow subscribers to import medical data such as diagnoses, medications, treatment history and procedures directly into the app.

According to the company, this added medical context will help its AI tools and personalised health coach provide more accurate and individualised recommendations.

New AI Features: My Memory And Proactive Check-ins

Whoop also announced two new AI-backed tools designed to improve user engagement and personalisation.

The My Memory feature will let subscribers manage the personal data used to train the platform’s AI coaching system. Users can add, edit or delete contextual information related to their health and fitness routines.

Meanwhile, Proactive Check-ins is designed to offer timely recommendations based on upcoming events or changing conditions. For example, the app may encourage users to prioritise sleep before a major event or suggest workout adjustments during travel.

The company says these tools are aimed at making the platform more adaptive and responsive to individual lifestyle patterns.

Whoop Plans Deeper Integrations And Improved Tracking

Looking ahead, Whoop revealed that it is working on deeper integrations with third-party fitness and community apps frequently used by subscribers during workouts.

The company is also developing improvements to its heart-rate monitoring algorithm for better health accuracy, while enhancing workout auto-detection capabilities.

Additional features in development include strength trainer trends and personal record tracking inside the app.

Google Health Emerges As A Major Competitor

Whoop’s latest announcement comes shortly after Google launched the Google Health app, which replaces the Fitbit platform and includes an AI-powered health coach for users in India.

The move positions Google Health as a direct competitor to Whoop in the rapidly growing AI-driven fitness and wellness ecosystem.
