Actor Aamir Khan has officially confirmed that he will marry his longtime partner Gauri Spratt on July 5. The Bollywood superstar shared the news while interacting with the media at the screening of Rajkumar Hirani’s series Pritam and Pedro.
The actor revealed that the wedding will be a simple and intimate affair with only family members and a few close friends attending.
Aamir Khan Shares Wedding Plans
Speaking to the media, Aamir said the ceremony will take place at his Mumbai home.
“Shaadi hai 5 July ko. Ghar pe hi kar rahe hai. Bahut hi choti shaadi hai. Bahut hi khaas din hai 5 tarikh hamare liye. Dono families hai aur kuch khaas dost hai.”
(Translation: “The wedding is on July 5. We are hosting it at home. It will be a very small wedding. July 5 is a very special day for us. Both families and a few close friends will be there.”)
He also requested everyone’s blessings as he begins a new chapter in his life.
“Ghar pe hi kar rahe hai. Aap sabhi ki dua chahiye bas ki hum khush rahe aur prarthana karenge ki achha safar rahe. Bahut hi gharelu hai.”
(Translation: “We are holding it at home. We just want everyone’s blessings so that we remain happy and have a wonderful journey together. It will be a very homely celebration.”)
Families and Children to Attend
Aamir confirmed that both families will be present at the ceremony.
His children, as well as Gauri Spratt’s child, are also expected to attend the intimate wedding celebrations.
The actor chose to keep the guest list limited, making it a private family occasion instead of a grand Bollywood event.
Who Is Gauri Spratt?
Gauri Spratt is originally from Bengaluru and has spent most of her life there.
She is the daughter of Rita Spratt, who owned a salon in Bengaluru.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Gauri studied at Blue Mountains School before completing an FDA course in Styling and Photography at the University of the Arts London in 2004.
She currently runs a BBlunt salon in Mumbai.
Reports also suggest that she has a seven-year-old child.
Aamir Khan’s Previous Marriages
This will be Aamir Khan’s third marriage.
The actor first married his childhood sweetheart, Reena Dutta, in 1986 in a private ceremony.
The couple have two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. While Junaid has entered the film industry, Ira works actively in the field of mental health awareness.
Aamir and Reena ended their marriage in 2002 after 16 years together.
Later, Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. The two met during the making of Lagaan, where Kiran worked as an assistant director.
They welcomed their son Azad through surrogacy and announced their separation in 2021. Despite their divorce, they continue to co-parent their son and maintain a cordial relationship.
Aamir Says Gauri Has Brought Peace to His Life
In a recent interview with Navbharat Times, Aamir spoke openly about his relationship with Gauri.
He said he feels fortunate to have found happiness again.
“I am very lucky that I met Gauri, and our relationship started together. She is great; I feel at peace with her.”
The actor also said that although he shared deep relationships with his former wives, life eventually took a different direction.
“Although my relationships with Kiran and Reena were also very deep, things didn’t work out. I feel very blessed that Gauri entered my life. We are very happy together. Mujhe lagta hai ab main jaake mukammal hua hoon.”
(Translation: “I feel complete today.”)
Relationship Became Public Last Year
Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt have reportedly been together for more than two years.
The actor introduced Gauri to the media during his 60th birthday celebrations last year.
Now, the couple is all set to begin a new journey together with a private wedding surrounded by their loved ones.
