November 10, 2024: Ajay Devgn recently displayed his trademark humour while talking about his Singham Again co-star Akshay Kumar. Known for his playful nature, Ajay couldn’t resist taking a friendly jab at Akshay’s well-known habit of waking up early. During an exchange with fans at a Bollywood Hungama Hangout session, Ajay cheekily called Akshay a “doodhwala” (milkman) for his early-rising routine.
The interaction happened when Ajay was asked to share something surprising about Akshay. Smiling, he replied, “Woh subha 4 baje uthate hain, yeh toh aapko pata hi hoga. (You would know that he gets up at 4 in the morning). Aap logo ko pata hai pehle woh doodhwala thaa. (Do you know he was a milkman before?)” The joke drew laughter from the audience, highlighting the easy camaraderie between the two stars.
Akshay, a known health enthusiast, has often shared details of his disciplined lifestyle. Earlier this year, during an event, he revealed, “My day starts at 4-4:30 am, and I sleep by 9-9:30 pm.” He added, “Those early hours are my alone time; it’s the only time I get to myself without any interruptions. I believe everyone should take 2-3 hours just for themselves, to think, relax, and recharge.”
Decades of Friendship and Collaboration
Ajay and Akshay have been friends since their early days in Bollywood. Starting their careers in the 1990s, they’ve shared the screen in films like Suhaag, Khakee, and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai. Their latest collaboration, Singham Again, is part of Rohit Shetty’s celebrated cop universe and has been drawing crowds to theaters since its release on November 1.
In Singham Again, Ajay returns as DCP Bajirao Singham, joined by Akshay as DCP Veer Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh as Inspector Sangram Bhalerao. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor, with a special cameo by Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey.
