The latest episode of Lock Upp featured an emotional revelation from Akanksha Choudhary, who admitted that she wanted to tell Yogesh Rawat “I like you too” during the Splitsvilla 16 finale but stopped herself because of the circumstances.
During a task on the show, Sunita Ahuja revealed Akanksha’s secret, claiming that she had wanted to reciprocate Yogesh’s confession during the reality show’s finale but couldn’t. Following the revelation, a video of Akanksha’s earlier confession, recorded during her entry into Lock Upp, was played.
In the clip, Akanksha said that when Yogesh confessed his feelings during the Splitsvilla 16 finale, she chose not to respond because everything between them had become too complicated. She admitted that deep down she wanted to say she liked him too, but felt it was already too late.
The confession left host Riteish Deshmukh and fellow contestants surprised, with many wondering whether Akanksha still harboured feelings for Yogesh. When asked if she no longer felt the same way, Akanksha avoided giving a direct answer, saying she didn’t want to reveal her feelings.
Later in the episode, Yogesh Rawat playfully asked Akanksha if she wanted to say now what she couldn’t express during the finale. Responding to him, Akanksha remarked that everyone has a past and clarified that they now share only a friendship.
Akanksha Choudhary and Yogesh Rawat had emerged as one of the strongest connections during Splitsvilla 16. However, their relationship took a dramatic turn after Yogesh’s former girlfriend, Ruru Thakur, entered the show as a wildcard contestant. Yogesh eventually chose Ruru, leading to a fallout with Akanksha.
During the finale, Yogesh admitted that he still had feelings for Akanksha. Her latest confession on Lock Upp has now revealed that those feelings may have been mutual at the time. Ruru Thakur has since confirmed that her relationship with Yogesh has ended, while both Yogesh and Akanksha currently maintain that they are single.
