Akshay Kumar and filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan recently reunited to promote the OTT release of Bhooth Bangla. The fun-filled conversation, which also featured director Priyadarshan and actor Rajpal Yadav, quickly turned into a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
The group shared several behind-the-scenes stories from their early days in the entertainment industry, leaving fans entertained with their candid banter and playful jokes.
Akshay Remembers Farah’s Early Struggles
During the conversation on Netflix India’s YouTube channel, Akshay recalled watching Farah participate in dance competitions long before she became one of Bollywood’s most successful choreographers and directors.
“I know Farah very well. She used to compete for Rs 5,000, Rs 10,000,” Akshay joked.
Farah immediately corrected him with a laugh.
“No. Don’t lie like this. We used to get Rs 1,000,” she replied.
Akshay then praised Farah’s dancing skills and remembered seeing her at Mumbai’s popular nightclub, Xanadu.
“And she was an amazing dancer. There was a disco called Xanadu, and she used to go there,” he said.
Farah Pulls Akshay’s Leg Over His Dating Life
The conversation soon shifted from Farah’s past to Akshay’s personal life.
Farah jokingly claimed that Akshay would often arrive at the nightclub with a different girlfriend.
“And he used to come with, every week, one new girlfriend,” she teased.
Akshay quickly denied the allegation.
“Don’t lie. No, no,” he responded.
Farah continued the joke by adding, “He used to bring only one girlfriend.”
Not willing to stay silent, Akshay playfully fired back.
“She used to change partners,” he joked.
The exchange left everyone laughing.
Wondering how the conversation had shifted to her personal life, Farah asked, “Why has this become about my life?”
Akshay had the perfect comeback.
“Because I know about you,” he replied.
Akshay Recalls Funny Om Shanti Om Shooting Memory
The duo also revisited Akshay’s special appearance in Farah Khan’s 2007 blockbuster Om Shanti Om.
Recalling an action sequence, Akshay jokingly accused Farah of deliberately choosing a camera angle that embarrassed him.
“The fight scene where I throw the gun up, catch it here and fire it… she shot it from behind. Vulgar woman,” Akshay laughed.
He added that he repeatedly requested Farah not to film the sequence that way.
“I kept shouting, ‘Don’t take it like that,'” he joked.
Farah defended herself with another witty response.
“Who told me to shoot the scene from behind?” she laughed.
Akshay immediately replied, “I didn’t say it.”
Their light-hearted exchange once again showcased the friendship they have shared for years.
