Alannah Keyser Responds After Love Island USA Exit

Alannah Keyser has spoken publicly for the first time after leaving Love Island USA following controversy over resurfaced social media posts.

The reality TV star addressed the issue in a video shared on TikTok. She apologised for an old video in which she was seen singing along to a song containing the N-word. However, she also claimed that several screenshots circulating online had been edited and did not reflect the truth.

The controversy led to her removal from the popular reality dating show.

She said the video was recorded about six years ago while she was singing along to a song by rapper Roddy Ricch.

“I do want to begin by addressing the video of me singing along to a Roddy Ricch song that contains a racial slur. I’m sorry to whoever has seen that video and has been offended by it; that was never my intention,” she said.

Alannah also explained that the clip was several years old and said that the word is no longer part of her vocabulary.

Claims Screenshots Were Doctored

Besides responding to the video, Alannah also denied the authenticity of screenshots that have been widely shared on social media.

She claimed the images had been edited and falsely linked to her.

“What has been shared does not reflect the truth and it has never been in my character to discriminate against anybody’s skin colour,” she said.

Furthermore, she made it clear that she does not support racism or discrimination in any form.

“I do want to say directly that I do not support racism or discrimination of any kind and I never have,” she added.

Says the Experience Has Been a Learning Lesson

Alannah admitted the controversy has been difficult to deal with.

She said it was heartbreaking to see allegedly racist content connected to her online. At the same time, she described the situation as an important learning experience.

“This has definitely been a learning lesson for me. And it sucks that I didn’t get a chance to really show my personality and who I am,” she said.

Love Island USA Faces Another Cast Controversy

Alannah Keyser is the latest contestant to leave Love Island USA following backlash over resurfaced online content.

The show has now removed four cast members across the last two seasons because of similar controversies.

Before Season 8 premiered, Vasana Montgomery was removed after old social media posts resurfaced showing her using the N-word.

During Season 7, Yulissa Escobar exited the show after videos containing the same racial slur reappeared online. Later in the season, Cierra Ortega was also removed following backlash over a post that included a racial slur.

Alannah’s departure adds to the growing list of contestants who have faced consequences after old social media content resurfaced.
