Alia Bhatt has officially arrived at the 2026 edition of the Cannes Film Festival 2026, making a stylish entry ahead of her much-anticipated red carpet appearance.

The actor was seen stepping out in a sophisticated monochrome ensemble that quickly grabbed attention online. For her Cannes arrival look, Alia chose a sharply tailored blazer featuring puffed shoulders and a cinched waist, paired with matching skinny trousers. She completed the elegant outfit with accessories from Gucci.

Photos and videos of the actor arriving at Cannes have already started circulating widely on social media, with fans praising her polished and minimal fashion statement.

After making a memorable debut at Cannes in 2025, Alia is now set to return to the prestigious international film festival for the second consecutive year. She is expected to attend the inaugural ceremony on May 12 as India’s global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris.

Before heading to France, the actor was spotted at Mumbai airport in the early hours of Monday as she departed for the French Riviera.

Strong Indian Presence At Cannes 2026

This year’s Cannes Film Festival is expected to witness a major Indian presence across Bollywood and regional cinema industries.

Alongside Alia, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will also return to the festival as a global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, continuing her long-standing association with the international event.

Punjabi cinema is set to make its mark with Ammy Virk attending Cannes for the first time alongside co-star Roopi Gill for their film Chardikala.

Acclaimed filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker will also attend the festival as part of India’s official delegation in his role as director of the International Film Festival of India.

Marathi cinema will be represented by veteran actors Ashok Saraf and Nivedita Saraf, along with Prajakta Mali and producer Kedar Joshi.

Gujarati cinema will also have representation through actor-producer Mansi Parekh and singer-producer Parthiv Gohil.

From the Malayalam film industry, filmmaker Chidambaram will showcase his project Balan: The Boy at the Cannes market.

Several other Indian celebrities, including Karan Johar, Tara Sutaria, Mouni Roy and Pooja Batra, are also expected to attend the global event.

The 2026 Cannes Film Festival will be held in France from May 12 to May 23.
