Bollywood sensation Alia Bhatt truly “understood the assignment” at the Chetak Screen Awards 2026, held at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai on Sunday, April 5.

Making her grand debut as an award show host, the actress delivered a masterclass in versatile fashion, transitioning from an ethereal red-carpet vision in a “Mogra Pallu” saree to a sharp, power-packed tuxedo for her time on stage alongside co-hosts Sunil Grover and Zakir Khan.

For her red-carpet arrival, Alia donned a custom white creation from Gaurav Gupta’s The Divine Androgyne collection. Styled by Priyanka Kapadia, the ensemble featured a dramatic draped silhouette and a train that commanded the spotlight. However, the pièce de résistance was the delicate, mogra-inspired tassel detailing along the pallu, which lent a fresh, botanical charm to the high-fashion look. She paired the saree with a plunging floral embroidered blouse, a diamond choker, and luminous “clean girl” makeup that highlighted her signature glow.

As the night shifted to her hosting duties, Alia swapped the dreamy drapes for a sophisticated black-and-white tuxedo, also by Gaurav Gupta. The look featured a structured waistcoat and a crisp white shirt, cinched perfectly to balance classic menswear with modern femininity. Adding a touch of high-end sparkle, she accessorized the tie with a signature GG diamond brooch and statement platform heels. The transition mirrored the dynamic energy of the evening, as she balanced her glamorous persona with the wit and timing required for her first-ever hosting stint.

The Chetak Screen Awards 2026 was a star-studded affair, seeing the likes of Salman Khan, Kiara Advani, and Sidharth Malhotra in attendance. The event took place against the backdrop of a historic weekend for Indian cinema, as Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 officially crossed the ₹1000 crore mark at the domestic box office. While the film industry celebrates massive commercial milestones, Alia’s double-fashion win and successful hosting debut have set a new bar for red-carpet elegance and professional versatility in 2026.
