The highly anticipated trailer for Yash Raj Films’ upcoming action extravaganza Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, was finally unveiled on June 17, sending waves of excitement across social media.
The thrilling glimpse showcases high-octane action sequences, alongside intriguing looks at characters played by Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. Joining the chorus of excited fans, Bollywood action queen Katrina Kaif a pillar of the YRF Spy Universe herself took to social media to cheer on the female-led action narrative.
Impressed by the intense teaser, Katrina re-shared the trailer on her Instagram stories, penning a proud and supportive message for the leading ladies. Championing the rise of women in action, she wrote:
“Let’s gooo… The girls are HERE @aliaabhatt Superb @sharvari Just on fire, loveee.”

Alia Bhatt quickly acknowledged the love from her close friend and peer, resharing the story with a sweet reply: “Katyyy thank you.”
The ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ Connection
Interestingly, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt were originally slated to share the screen in Farhan Akhtar’s road-trip drama Jee Le Zaraa, alongside Priyanka Chopra. Announced back in 2021, the female-led film generated massive buzz but has faced repeated delays due to scheduling conflicts among its high-profile cast. While filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has maintained that the project is very much alive, its production timeline remains uncertain. However, Katrina’s public support for Alpha proves that the bond between the actresses remains incredibly strong.
What the Alpha Trailer Reveals
Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha introduces a gritty, high-stakes conflict. The trailer introduces Alia Bhatt’s character as an elite assassin named Sita, who is rigorously trained by Bobby Deol’s character. However, their mentor-protégé bond takes a dark, adversarial turn as they find themselves on opposite sides of a deadly mission. As the conflict escalates, Sita crosses paths with Sharvari’s character, and the two powerhouse women join forces to take down their targets.
Anil Kapoor appears in a pivotal role, seemingly working to stop Bobby Deol’s character from executing a dangerous, catastrophic plan. Packed with hand-to-hand combat and explosive set pieces, the trailer ends with a massive surprise—a cameo by Hrithik Roshan, officially locking Alpha into the broader YRF Spy Universe.
Produced by Aditya Chopra and co-produced by Akshaye Widhani, Alpha is locked and loaded to hit theatres on July 3.
