In the clips, Babil broke down while expressing the mental and emotional pressure of being part of the film industry. His candid videos, where he named fellow actors, triggered widespread speculation, prompting him to deactivate his Instagram briefly before returning with a clarification.
In his statement, Babil explained that the videos were meant to show admiration for artists like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh, not to criticize or call them out. His team later released a note stating,
“Like anyone else, Babil is allowed to have difficult days — and this was one of them… His mention of artists came from a place of genuine admiration.”
Siddhant Chaturvedi shared a video of Babil on his Instagram Stories with the caption:
“I usually never engage in s* written about me and my colleagues, but this one’s personal… Stop looking for drama here. All of us are working hard to bring drama to you on your screens.”**
He urged people to stop passing judgment based on actors’ personal lives and added,
“We’re still trying from our side, and we hope you also try to think once before passing any judgment. Peace out.”
Babil, touched by Siddhant’s gesture, reposted the video and wrote,
