March 16, 2025: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has shared an encouraging health update on Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman after he was hospitalized in Chennai due to dehydration and neck pain. Taking to his Twitter account, Stalin expressed his relief, stating that Rahman is fine and will soon be back home.
Stalin mentioned, “As soon as I heard the news that Isaipuyal @arrahman had been admitted to the hospital due to ill health, I contacted the doctors and inquired about his health! They said he is fine and will be back home soon! Happy!”
According to Rahman’s team, the music maestro has been discharged from the hospital after undergoing medical tests. They clarified that the hospitalization was due to complications arising from dehydration and neck pain, which were the result of recent travel. Rahman, 58, had gone for a check-up after feeling uneasy the previous night.
Rahman’s team also dispelled rumors about his condition, specifically refuting fake news suggesting he was hospitalized due to chest pain. They assured his fans that the reports were untrue, stating, “It’s fake news (on heart issues) spreading now. Rahman went to the hospital because he got dehydrated and has neck pain due to travel.”
Rahman, who remains active in his music career, is involved in various projects. He recently performed with Ed Sheeran during his Mathematics Tour concert in Chennai and is set to compose music for Tere Ishk Mein, a spiritual sequel to the film Raanjhanna, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, directed by Anand L. Rai.
Fans of the music legend can now rest assured that Rahman is recovering and will soon be back to work on his exciting music projects.
