Fans of Bobby Deol’s hit crime drama Ek Badnaam… Aashram have another reason to celebrate as the popular series is reportedly gearing up for its fourth season. According to the latest reports, the Prakash Jha directorial is set to begin filming from mid-August 2026, marking the return of one of India’s most successful streaming franchises.
As per reports, the upcoming season will reunite director Prakash Jha with the show’s principal cast, including Bobby Deol, Aaditi Pohankar, and Chandan Roy Sanyal. While production is expected to commence in August, it remains unclear whether Season 4 will conclude the gripping story of the controversial godman Baba Nirala or pave the way for future installments.
Earlier, actress Tridha Choudhury had also confirmed that work on the new season was underway. Speaking in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, she revealed that the team would begin shooting in 2026 and expressed her excitement about returning to the much-loved series. Tridha also recalled how she landed the role, sharing that casting director Madhvi Bhatt had encouraged her to audition after the two unexpectedly met at a supermarket.
Directed and produced by Prakash Jha, Ek Badnaam… Aashram premiered in 2020 and quickly became one of the most-watched Hindi web series. The crime drama follows the story of Baba Nirala, a self-styled godman who enjoys immense public devotion while secretly operating a web of crime, corruption, and exploitation. As his influence expands, politicians seek his support, while a determined police investigation gradually begins exposing the dark secrets hidden within the ashram.
Apart from Bobby Deol, the series features an ensemble cast including Darshan Kumar, Aaditi Pohankar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Tushar Pandey, Anupriya Goenka, Adhyayan Suman, Vikram Kochhar, Esha Gupta, Tridha Choudhury, Rajeev Siddhartha, and Sachin Shroff in pivotal roles.
The first season of Ek Badnaam… Aashram premiered on MX Player in August 2020, followed by the second season later the same year and the third in 2022. The series was officially renewed for a fourth season in 2023, with fans now eagerly awaiting the next chapter in Baba Nirala’s story.
