Actor Babil Khan, son of the late Irrfan Khan, returned to Instagram hours after deleting his account following a teary, emotional video that went viral and sparked concern. In the now-deleted video, Babil appeared distressed while referencing names like Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, and Raghav Juyal, which led to widespread speculation online.

However, in a fresh Instagram post shared Sunday evening, Babil clarified that his message was “extremely misinterpreted.” Sharing a post by actor Kubbra Sait, which contained an official statement from his family, Babil explained he was only expressing admiration for fellow artists.

“I was trying to show support to Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Gaurav Adarsh, Arjun Kapoor, Raghav Juyal, and Arijit Singh,” he wrote.

He added that he didn’t have the energy to indulge in prolonged clarifications but felt it was his “responsibility for peers I truly admire.”

💬 Support From Bollywood

Raghav Juyal, whom Babil called his “elder brother I never had,” also received a heartfelt repost. Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi shared a video of Babil stating, “Mujhe itihaas likhna hai, kitaab nahi” (I want to write history, not a book), to which Babil replied, “I love you, brother.”

Siddhant later issued a note defending Babil, urging media and fans to stop seeking “drama” in actors’ personal lives:

“We are working hard to bring drama to your screens. Stop looking for it in our real lives.”
