The iconic duo of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan is back with a bang, and so is the off-screen camaraderie of its cast. As their latest horror-comedy, Bhooth Bangla, shatters box office records, a new viral video featuring Akshay and co-star Wamiqa Gabbi has left fans in splits.

In the clip shared on Instagram, Wamiqa is seen relentlessly cracking “Poor Jokes” (PJs) at a visibly “done” Akshay Kumar. The actor, known for his own sharp wit, looks hilariously annoyed, eventually exclaiming, “Bas karo yaar!” (Enough, man!).

Wamiqa captioned the post: “Premiqa ke PJ pe hasi hui faraar, Akshay sir bole, ‘Bas karo yaar!’” Fans flooded the comments, with one noting, “Seeing AK Paaji cooked for the first time… well done Wamiqa!”

Bhooth Bangla’s Box Office Explosion

The film has defied expectations, proving that the Priyadarshan-Akshay magic remains potent after 14 years.

  • Day 1 Collection: A massive ₹21.60 crore in India.
  • The Vibe: Critics have noted a “Bhool Bhulaiyaa hangover” with nostalgic slapstick stretches and an interval block that recalls the golden era of Bollywood comedies.
  • The Cast: Alongside Akshay and Wamiqa, the film features a powerhouse ensemble including Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, and the late legendary actor Asrani.

What’s Next for the Stars?

  • Akshay Kumar: The actor is already preparing for his next collaboration with Priyadarshan titled Haiwaan, which will also feature Saif Ali Khan.
  • Wamiqa Gabbi: Following the success of Bhooth Bangla, Wamiqa will lead the “Pativerse” in Pati Patni Aur Woh 2. The teaser shows her caught in a chaotic comedy of errors alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh.

The Priyadarshan Reunion

Bhooth Bangla marks the first time Akshay and Priyadarshan have worked together since Khatta Meetha (2010). With this roaring start, the film is on track to join the ranks of their previous cult classics like Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
