June 25, 2025: Korean drama fans, buckle up — ‘Taxi Driver 3‘ is officially on the way, with Lee Je-hoon set to reprise his iconic role as vigilante driver Kim Do-gi. The hit K-drama was announced during the Asia Pacific Video Operators Summit in Indonesia and will premiere globally as a Viu original in Q4 2025, excluding South Korea and mainland China, reports Variety.

Following the success of its previous seasons, the third installment brings back beloved cast members Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, and Bae Yoo-ram as the Rainbow Taxi Team embarks on their most intense mission yet.
In a surprising twist, Edan Lui, member of Hong Kong boy band Mirror, joins the cast, making his Korean drama debut. He will play a mysterious new character who forms an unpredictable alliance with Do-gi.
The series continues under the creative leadership of writer Oh Sang-ho and director Kang Bo-seung, known for delivering fast-paced, emotionally charged storytelling.
“We’re excited to bring ‘Taxi Driver 3’ to global audiences through our long-standing partnership with Viu,” said Park Jeong-hoon, CEO of Studio S. “Our team is committed to creating a drama that lives up to the legacy of Seasons 1 and 2 — and exceeds expectations.”
The announcement is part of Viu’s 2025 content lineup, which also features:
- ‘My Youth’, starring Song Joong-ki as a reclusive former child actor,
- And the gender-bending rom-com ‘My Girlfriend Is a Man!’, with Astro’s Yoon San-ha and Oh My Girl’s Arin.
With an expanding global fan base and a high-stakes plot, ‘Taxi Driver 3‘ promises to be one of the most anticipated K-dramas of the year.
