April 16, 2025: After a two-year break, the beloved ‘Sex and the City’ sequel, And Just Like That, is officially returning with its third season on May 29 on Max. Fans can once again follow the lives of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) as they continue navigating friendship, romance, and life’s twists in modern-day New York City.

The upcoming 12-episode season will stream weekly, with the finale scheduled for August 14, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A fresh trailer for the season, released by the show’s creators on social media, teases major emotional developments and familiar drama — especially when it comes to Carrie and Aidan Shaw (John Corbett).

Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger, with Carrie and Aidan reconnecting romantically, only to pause their relationship due to Aidan’s commitment to his teenage son. In a pivotal moment, Aidan asked Carrie to give him five years, until his son is out of his teens, to fully commit. Now, Season 3 picks up from that emotional crossroads, with Carrie calling their bond “complicated” — though glimpses of the couple together (even with Aidan’s children) suggest there’s still unfinished business.

Returning cast members include Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, and Mario Cantone. New faces joining the ensemble are Rosie O’Donnell, Mehcad Brooks, and Logan Marshall-Green, hinting at new characters and storylines. However, Sara Ramirez and Karen Pittman will not return this season.

Series creator Michael Patrick King explained that Aidan’s arc was intended to offer long-time viewers emotional closure. “He says to her, ‘Can you give me time until Wyatt is out of his teens?’” King shared, referencing the poignant moment that concluded Season 2.

The trailer also hints at surprises, including a mysterious new neighbor in Carrie’s life, while Carrie’s voiceover offers a telling insight: “When the plot twists, we can choose to embrace a new chapter.”

Though Kim Cattrall made a brief and much-talked-about cameo as Samantha Jones in the last season, the show’s creators have confirmed it was a one-time surprise, not the beginning of a full-time return.

Developed by Michael Patrick King and executive produced by Parker, Nixon, and Davis, And Just Like That continues to explore how life, love, and friendship evolve — one cosmopolitan at a time.
