Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna’s romantic drama Cocktail 2 witnessed a significant drop in collections on its first Monday after enjoying a strong opening weekend at the box office.

According to trade estimates, the film earned ₹6.35 crore net in India on Day 4, marking a decline of over 64% compared to its Sunday collection of ₹17.75 crore. Despite the drop, the film has managed to maintain a respectable overall performance.

The film’s total India net collection now stands at ₹53.85 crore, while its India gross earnings have reached ₹64.56 crore. Overseas, Cocktail 2 added another ₹1.50 crore on Monday, taking its international total to ₹20.75 crore.

With these numbers, the worldwide gross collection of the film has climbed to ₹85.31 crore within just four days of release.

Made on an estimated budget of around ₹150 crore, the film still has a long way to go before entering the profit zone. The sharp Monday decline has raised concerns about its weekday performance, which will play a crucial role in determining its long-term box office prospects.

While the film has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences, Kriti Sanon’s performance has emerged as one of the most appreciated aspects of the movie. The film’s scenic visuals, international locations and music have also drawn praise, although many viewers felt the storyline offered little that was new or surprising.

The coming weekdays will be critical for Cocktail 2 as it aims to sustain momentum and strengthen its position at the box office.
