Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 has started its box office journey with a decent opening in India. The latest film in the popular comedy franchise collected an estimated Rs 13.75 crore on its first day, according to early estimates by Sacnilk.

The film marks the return of the much-loved Dhamaal series and has opened better than several of Ajay Devgn’s recent releases. However, it could not beat the opening-day numbers of Total Dhamaal, which earned Rs 16.5 crore on its release in 2019.

Dhamaal 4 Day 1 Box Office Collection

Released across 10,669 shows nationwide, Dhamaal 4 attracted a good number of moviegoers on its opening day.

The film’s Rs 13.75 crore collection is considered a respectable start, especially for a comedy franchise. Even so, it remained behind Welcome To The Jungle, another multi-starrer comedy, which collected Rs 19 crore, including paid previews, on its opening day.

Now, the focus shifts to the weekend. A strong jump in collections on Saturday and Sunday could help the film build momentum at the box office.

Star-Studded Cast Returns for Another Treasure Hunt

Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 is the fourth installment in the franchise and continues the story after Total Dhamaal.

The film has been jointly produced by T-Series Films, Panorama Studios, Devgn Films, Maruti International, and Anand Pandit Motion Pictures.

The ensemble cast includes Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Esha Gupta, and Vijay Patkar.

Like the previous films, the story revolves around a treasure hunt. This time, the mystery shifts from the famous clue “W ke neeche” to “M ke neeche,” while keeping the franchise’s signature mix of slapstick comedy and adventure.

Mixed Reviews from Critics and Audiences

The film has received mixed reactions after its release.

Many viewers have appreciated the comic timing of Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, and Sanjay Mishra. Their performances have been widely praised for delivering several entertaining moments.

However, some critics and moviegoers have pointed out weaknesses in the screenplay. Others have also criticised the use of AI-generated visual effects in certain scenes.

As a result, audience word of mouth over the weekend will play an important role in deciding the film’s long-term box office performance.

Ravi Kishan Had Predicted a Strong Run

Before the release, actor Ravi Kishan expressed confidence that Dhamaal 4 would connect with audiences.

He said the film was well-written and believed its comedy would appeal to family audiences. Ravi Kishan also praised the songs and felt the release timing was ideal for a comedy entertainer.

With the opening day completed, the film now faces its biggest test over the weekend. If audience response remains positive, Dhamaal 4 could post strong growth and emerge as another successful addition to the franchise.
