Ajay Devgn’s much-awaited comedy Dhamaal 4 finally hit theatres on July 10, 2026, and the initial audience reactions are pouring in. Directed by Indra Kumar, the fourth installment in the popular Dhamaal franchise features an ensemble cast including Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaaferi, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Esha Gupta, and Upendra Limaye. While the film generated considerable buzz ahead of its release, early reactions on X (formerly Twitter) suggest that viewers are sharply divided.

Many moviegoers praised the film for delivering wholesome family entertainment filled with slapstick comedy. One user described Dhamaal 4 as a “full comedy” entertainer, awarding it 3.5 stars and calling it a “paisa vasool” film that families can enjoy together. Another viewer rated the film 4 out of 5 stars, appreciating its light-hearted humour, entertaining performances, and saying it successfully recaptures the fun spirit of the original Dhamaal films.

However, not everyone was impressed. Several users criticized the film’s comedy, calling many scenes outdated and forced. One viral post labelled the movie “total cringe”, while another questioned the use of the popular “Bella Ciao” theme from Money Heist as background music during a comedic sequence. Critics on social media also felt that some jokes failed to land, making portions of the film feel repetitive and underwhelming.

Despite the divided opinions, Jaaved Jaaferi’s return as Manav has emerged as one of the most widely appreciated aspects of the film. Many viewers praised his comic timing, expressions, and performance, with several social media users calling him the standout performer of the ensemble cast.

On the box office front, Dhamaal 4 recorded an average advance booking before release. Trade analysts are expecting the comedy entertainer to collect approximately ₹10–12 crore on its opening day, although its long-term performance will likely depend on audience word-of-mouth over the weekend.

As more viewers head to theatres, it remains to be seen whether Dhamaal 4 will win over family audiences or continue to receive a mixed response online.
