Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has reacted to the ongoing Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. During a recent Instagram Live session, the singer responded to a fan’s question about the demonstration and clarified that he was unaware of the protest, adding that he prefers to stay away from political matters.

Speaking during the live interaction, Diljit said, “What protest is going on at Jantar Mantar? Keep me away from these protests and all. I am an artist. I am not a politician. Nothing will ever be perfect in this world.” He further remarked that since he did not know the details of the protest, he wished both sides well, saying, “Whoever is doing the protest, congratulations, and for whom the protest is happening, congratulations to them also.”

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has been protesting at Jantar Mantar since June 6, 2026, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The protest has attracted attention on social media, with several personalities being asked to share their views.

Meanwhile, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, during a recent interview, said he would not participate in India’s Got Latent. Explaining his decision, Dipke stated that he disagreed with what he described as taking the “easy route” and suggested that privilege allows some people to avoid difficult situations.
