After years of romance, fashion, friendship and Parisian chaos, Emily in Paris is officially heading towards its conclusion. Streaming giant Netflix has confirmed that the upcoming sixth season of the globally popular series will also be its last.
The announcement comes shortly after production on Season 6 officially went on floors. While the platform had earlier renewed the show for another season, creators have now revealed that the next installment will serve as the grand finale of Emily Cooper’s journey.
Lily Collins Returns As Emily Cooper
Lily Collins will reprise her role as Emily Cooper, the ambitious American marketing executive whose move from Chicago to Paris completely transformed her personal and professional life.
Created by Darren Star, the series followed Emily as she navigated the challenges of working in a demanding marketing firm while balancing complicated relationships, evolving friendships and cultural differences in Paris.
Over the years, the show emerged as one of Netflix’s most recognisable comfort dramas, building a loyal global fanbase through its glamorous fashion, scenic Parisian backdrops and dramatic love triangles.
Darren Star Calls The Show “The Trip Of A Lifetime”
Following the announcement, Darren Star shared an emotional message thanking the cast, crew and fans who supported the series throughout its successful run.
“Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime,” Star said in a statement.
He also expressed gratitude towards Netflix, Paramount and audiences across the world for embracing the show over the years.
“As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount, and, most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us,” he added.
The creator further said that the team was excited to bring Emily’s story to a satisfying conclusion.

Main Cast To Return For Final Season
Apart from Lily Collins, the series also features Ashley Park, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery and Camille Razat in key roles.
The sixth and final season is expected to continue from the major developments of the previous installment while bringing closure to Emily’s complicated love life, friendships and career ambitions.
Before the farewell season premieres, viewers can revisit Emily Cooper’s journey, as all previous seasons of Emily in Paris are currently available to stream on Netflix.
