Television actor Gaurav Khanna has reacted for the first time after wife Akanksha Chamola announced on Netflix’s Lock Upp that the couple is heading for a divorce. While Gaurav neither confirmed nor denied the separation, he made it clear that his love and support for Akanksha remain unchanged, saying, “Pyar abhi bhi utna hai.”
The actor was recently spotted on the sets of Laughter Chefs 3, where he had arrived to promote Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. During an interaction with paparazzi, Gaurav was asked how he had been coping amid the ongoing speculation about his personal life. Responding calmly, he said, “Bas sahi hai yaar. Jo pehle tha, wahi haal hai abhi bhi.” Speaking about Akanksha, he added that his affection and support for her continue to remain the same despite everything.
Gaurav further emphasized that he would always stand by Akanksha, saying, “Pyar kiya toh peeche kyun hatunga.” When photographers wished Akanksha well for her journey on Lock Upp, the actor echoed the sentiment, saying, “All the very best to Akanksha, for life. Main hamesha uske saath khada hoon aur usko support kar raha hoon. Bahut achha khele aur jeet ke aaye.” He then politely avoided discussing the matter further and shifted his focus back to work.
Akanksha Chamola had surprised viewers during the premiere episode of Netflix’s Lock Upp by revealing that she and Gaurav had been living separately for the past year and were moving towards divorce. She clarified that there was no bitterness between them and explained that they had simply grown apart due to different life goals.
