Nico Ballesteros made the film, which shows a rough six-year period from his presidential candidacy in 2020 to his breakdowns in public and private.

The teaser starts with a shocking admission from the 48-year-old artist: “I’ve been off my meds for five months now.” This leads to a number of dramatic scenes, such as Kim Kardashian crying and telling him, “Your personality wasn’t like this a few years ago.” In another tense conversation, Kanye snaps at his oldest daughter, North, and says, “Never tell me I’m going to wake up one day and have nothing.”

The documentary’s title, In Whose Name?, is said to look at the issues of idolatry, from Kanye’s fame to his search for faith and family. The movie’s summary calls it a “deep journey of artistic and personal growth,” and the filmmaker saw “brilliance and breakdowns, triumphs and turmoil.”
