Television queen Rubina Dilaik is officially returning to the world of death-defying stunts, but the “Boss Lady” admits her heart is heavy this time around. While she previously dominated Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 with her fierce attitude, her upcoming stint in Season 15 feels entirely different.

In an exclusive chat, Rubina confessed that she isn’t feeling the usual pre-show adrenaline instead, she is “terrified” about the 40-day filming schedule in South Africa that will take her away from her young daughters.

Motherhood, Rubina explains, has completely recalibrated her internal compass. Unlike her 2022 journey where she had “undivided attention” to focus on physical grooming and workouts, her life now revolves around her children. The actress revealed that she hasn’t even been able to pack her bags yet, as her mind is occupied with figuring out the logistics of child care and navigating the guilt that often comes with being a working mother. “My world has been turned upside down,” she shared, adding that she is in the process of “quietly rebuilding” herself after the transformative experience of becoming a mother.

Why Rubina is Ready to Defy the ‘Herd’

Despite her fears, Rubina remains as unapologetic as ever. Known for being a strong-willed and opinionated woman, she acknowledged that she often ends up being “sidelined” because she refuses to follow the crowd. “If people like me less or don’t like me, it doesn’t matter to me,” she stated firmly, making it clear that she isn’t entering the show to win a popularity contest but to honor her authentic self.

The driving force behind her decision to participate is her husband, Abhinav Shukla. A fellow Khatron veteran himself, Abhinav encouraged her to seize the opportunity, promising that they would “figure out the family” together.

For Rubina, taking on the challenges of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 which will feature a high-stakes mix of former finalists and new contestants is about proving that motherhood and a career aren’t mutually exclusive. As filmmaker Rohit Shetty prepares to host the rugged South African season in the second half of 2026, all eyes will be on Rubina to see if the “terrified” mom can once again transform into the “unstoppable” stunt performer.
