Amid the ongoing drama between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, Scott Swift reportedly came forward to protect his daughter Taylor Swift from being dragged into the legal mess.
May 25, 2025: Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, has been identified as the insider who told Justin Baldoni’s team that Blake Lively allegedly threatened to leak Taylor’s private texts unless she publicly supported Lively in her feud with Baldoni. According to a report by the Daily Mail, Scott stepped in to shield Taylor from further involvement in the drama, voluntarily offering this information as part of a deal to have her removed from the legal proceedings.

Court filings by Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, alleged that Lively’s attorney, Michael Gottlieb, demanded Taylor’s public support, warning that if she didn’t comply, private text messages of a “personal nature” would be released. Lively also allegedly asked Swift to delete their messages.

An insider told the Daily Mail that it seemed Lively’s team was attempting to “extort” Taylor to back a narrative she wasn’t part of. “Scott Swift did not want his daughter to be dragged into this any further and he voluntarily gave up this information as part of a deal,” the source added.

While Blake Lively’s lawyer denied the allegations, the judge ultimately ruled that the claims of text message threats were “improper” and “irrelevant” in Baldoni’s $400 million extortion and defamation case against Lively. As a result, Baldoni’s team dropped the subpoena against Taylor Swift.
Baldoni’s lawsuit stems from Lively’s own sexual harassment claims against him, alleging that she used her friendship with Taylor Swift to control the narrative on the film “It Ends With Us.” Freedman claimed that Baldoni faced pressure from Lively, Swift, and even Ryan Reynolds, calling them Lively’s “dragons.”
Despite these explosive allegations, Taylor Swift has maintained she had no involvement with the film. Her representative clarified, “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, and did not see ‘It Ends With Us’ until weeks after its release.”
Adding another layer to the drama, Taylor’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, has reportedly unfollowed Ryan Reynolds on Instagram in a show of support. For now, Taylor appears to be distancing herself from the ongoing legal turmoil.
