Kangana Ranaut-starrer Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata faced a significant setback at the box office on its first Monday. After a modest opening weekend, the film witnessed a steep decline in collections and slipped below the crucial Rs 1 crore mark.
The film, which released on Friday, had already struggled to build strong momentum during its first three days. Monday’s numbers have further raised concerns about its long-term theatrical run.
‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ Day 4 Box Office Collection

According to early estimates, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata earned around Rs 65 lakh net at the Indian box office on its fourth day.
The film was screened across 1,866 shows on Monday. However, footfall dropped considerably compared to the weekend.
Sunday had brought in approximately Rs 1.80 crore net. Therefore, Monday’s earnings represent a sharp decline of nearly 64 percent.
While a drop on the first weekday is common for most films, such a steep fall may indicate weak audience retention.
Total Collection After Four Days
With Monday’s earnings added to its tally, the film’s estimated collections stand at:
- India Net Collection: Rs 4.90 crore
- India Gross Collection: Rs 5.86 crore
The film is yet to cross the Rs 5 crore net mark after four days in theatres, which places it behind its major competitors.
‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ Maintains Better Momentum

The comparison becomes more challenging for Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata when placed alongside director Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga.
The film collected approximately Rs 1.25 crore net on Monday from 2,139 shows.
Although it also experienced a weekday decline, the drop was around 50 percent from Sunday’s Rs 2.50 crore collection. This indicates a stronger hold compared to Kangana’s film.
After four days, Main Vaapas Aaunga has earned:
- India Net Collection: Rs 6.75 crore
- India Gross Collection: Rs 8.10 crore
As a result, it currently holds a comfortable lead over Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata.
‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ Emerges as Weekend Winner

The strongest performer among the three major releases continues to be Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past.
The horror thriller collected around Rs 2.20 crore net on Monday. Although the film saw a decline from Sunday’s Rs 3.60 crore, the drop was only about 39 percent.
This stronger weekday hold suggests that audience interest remains high.
Trade observers often consider Monday collections an important indicator of a film’s sustainability. In that regard, Haunted 3D appears to be in the strongest position among the current releases.
Political Backing Yet to Boost Collections
Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is based on the backdrop of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and had generated considerable attention before release.
The film also received support from several political leaders. Additionally, some states reportedly granted tax exemptions to encourage viewership.
However, despite the publicity and support, the film has not been able to convert the attention into strong ticket sales at the box office.
Road Ahead for the Film
The coming days will be crucial for Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata.
If collections continue to stay below Rs 1 crore on weekdays, the film may find it difficult to achieve a strong lifetime total. Moreover, competition from better-performing releases could further impact its theatrical run.
The second weekend will now play a key role in determining whether the film can recover lost ground or continue to struggle at the box office.
