The children of Karisma Kapoor and the late Sunjay Kapur have filed a civil lawsuit, accusing their stepmother, Priya Sachdev Kapur, of forging their father’s will. The siblings claim their father had assured them of their inheritance and have demanded their rightful share of his vast estate.
September 10, 2025: A very important court case is over the estate of the late billionaire Sunjay Kapur, which is valued about ₹30,000 crore. Samaira and Kiaan, his kids with actress Karisma Kapoor, have gone to the Delhi High Court to argue that their stepmother, Priya Sachdev Kapur, changed his will so that she could get all of his money.

Karisma, the kids’ mom, sued Priya and asserted that Priya had said there was no will at first. The brothers and sisters say that the paper she later showed them, which was dated March 21, 2025, is not real and is a fake. The kids say that as Class I legal heirs, they have the right to a share of their father’s property, according to court records.
The lawsuit says that Sunjay Kapur, who died in June, told his kids again and over that they would be financially safe and even named them as beneficiaries in a family trust. The siblings think that Priya Kapur started to limit their access to trust paperwork and money after she died.
The kids’ lawyers argue that Priya and two of her pals kept the genuine will secret for more than seven weeks before showing the fake one. They have asked the court to form a local committee to handle the distribution of property. They have also asked for a temporary order to stop the sale, transfer, or alienation of any of the assets until the problem is fixed.
A lot of problems have come up in the family after Sunjay Kapur died at the age of 53. This is the most recent case in court. He married Karisma Kapoor in 2003 and stayed married to her until 2016. In 2017, he married Priya Sachdev. They have a son together.
Priya Sachdev Kapur hasn’t said anything in public yet, but the court will probably hear the case and decide what to do next. Sunjay’s mother, Rani Kapur, has now made a second claim in the lawsuit. She is scared because she had to sign paperwork after her kid died. The fight over the big estate will likely go on in court.
